Senators/MPs = multi-party brokers.
Legislation = the sale of other peoples money through rent-seeking and handouts.
Democracy = coercion market.
Accumulation of law = eventual coercion market (government) failure.
Rent seeking = special privileges, economic advantages, subsidies or tax breaks that favor purchasers.
Lobbyists = salesmen of coercive legislation.
Activists = extortion racketeers.
